Bio
Michael Border founded TIFA Life in 2023 to develop supported accommodation for vulnerable young people in Wales. The service now works with Local Authorities across Wales, including on planned and urgent placements.
The group now has four operating companies. TIFA Property works with landlords and manages the housing supply. TIFA Life delivers supported accommodation. TIFA Recruits supplies support workers. TIFA Connect records the operational work and reporting. Michael built the first version of TIFA Connect, which is used in TIFA Life's live operation.
Michael's role today is governance, group strategy and commercial leadership rather than day-to-day operations. Hannah Rees leads TIFA Life as CEO. Bessie Johnson is Operations Lead and Designated Safeguarding Lead, Clare leads compliance coordination and operational follow-through, and Ian leads resourcing. Michael leads investor relationships, sector positioning, technology direction and group growth. He lives and works in Wales.
In his words
“TIFA was built to make the practical parts of supported accommodation work together: suitable homes, consistent support, dependable staff and clear records.”
